From the time he acted in Commando 2, his first movie, to his current project, Decent Boy, which was shot at Lucknow recently, Jeet Raidutt has come a long way.

Very recently, he finished shooting for the film ‘Decent Boy’, for which he visited Lucknow. Another film ‘Kick Boxer’ is slated for a February 2020 release. Currently, he is preparing himself for his role in the film ‘Paap Culture’, being directed by Amol Shetty.

Recalling his experiences, he said, “The incentive to work harder comes from the appreciation and recognition I receive, and, of course, my mother’s happiness.”

In a telephonic interview with HTCity, he said that life is full of learning, and he is thankful to have received the opportunity to interact with talented actors and actresses and work along with them to enhance his own craft.

Being multilingual, he has no difficulty in switching languages and has played a part in Kannada and Telgu films as well. “I try to catch the accent by observing people, be it a Haryanvi accent or a Kannada one, by paying attention to the locals converse,” said Raidutt. The film ‘Prem Baraha’ was a Kannada movie, where Raidutt learnt the dialect required for his role.

But there are other feathers he wears in his cap. This Dehradun boy also won the title of Mr India Most Photogenic 2012. Raidutt thanks his lucky stars for having a cousin who believed in him, and sent in an application in his name, for Mr India Most Photogenic title.

From then on, his journey has mostly been uphill and he has acted in many movies like ‘Commando 2’, ‘Sabrang’, ‘Zehan’, ‘The Past’, and the major blockbuster Kannada film, ‘Prem Baraha’, opposite Arjun Sarja’s daughter, Aishwarya Sarja.

Besides movies, he has also featured in albums, one of which was a song titled ‘Tu Mera Hai Sanam’ released by Affection Music and ‘Khuda Jaane’ released by Zee Music, which was appreciated much by the audience, and ‘Adhoore’, sung by Shaan.

Reminiscing his former days, Raidutt said, “I was working in a BPO, when I received a letter stating that I had been shortlisted for Mr. India in the modelling category. More than a surprise, it came as a shock but I went ahead with it, with much encouragement from my friends and family. After rigorous training, I remember walking the stage wearing clothes I designed. I always aimed to be different, and my attire helped symbolise that.”

He believes that there’s no end to dreaming and one has the right to dream big. His big dream is to take his talent to Hollywood.
