Nishant Singh Malkani reveals his nightmares

- Shreya Mukherjee

ATV actor’s job can be quite stressful given the long and erratic shooting schedules. This often leads to stress, which affects one’s mind and body severely. Many actors have openly spoken about going through difficult times. Ram Milaayi Jodi actor Nishant Singh Malkani has also opened up about how at times he gets nightmares about not being able to perform on screen.

“My nightmare as an actor is not being able to perform on screen. My biggest nightmare would be that I’m not being able to play a particular character convincingly, and it looks fake. There have been times when I’d wake up worried. In the beginning I did not understand why this was happening till a friend told me that it might be due to too much work and in the process I was taking stress unknowingly. Now every time that happens, I meditate and that helps,” he says.

Nishant adds he does not take his job lightly, but he has realised the importance of taking breaks. “I take my work and acting seriously. I have started utilising my breaks in a different way… I try and relax as much as possible, catch up on my sleep and read something. I’ve also started taking holidays to travel,” says the actor, who is playing the lead in an ongoing show.

He also thanks fans for their appreciation, which he considers his biggest reward. “I’m enjoying my work as people are watching and appreciating my performances. Getting love from my fans is a very big accomplishment for me. Their love motivates me,” adds Nishant.
