When you are trying to look for the “right” people, look for the people who are high on the following four traits (while there are several other traits one can talk of, I am going to focus on these four most important ones). The first is extraversion: people who are high on this trait are those who are friendly, outgoing, good communicators and who enjoy public speaking. The second is conscientiousness. People who are high on this trait are those who are very organized, kidswear, accessories, footwear, home and garden decore, stationary for the upcoming spring and Holi season has been displayed. It had range for those looking forward to organic food options.
Different musical performances have been organized to keep the guests entertained. The event kickstarted with a classical jugalbandi of Pt. Ravi Nath Mishra on tabla and Dr Naveen Mishra on sitar. The disciplined and trustworthy. They are methodical and manage their time effectively. The third is openness to experience. People who are high on this trait are those who like experimenting with things, talking to new people, going to new places, and trying out new ways of doing thigs. Finally, the fourth is emotional intelligence. People who are high on this are those who have a higher capability for expressing organizationally desired emotions and are thus able to overcome cognitive dissonance. These can be measured using the Big-5 measure as well as the EQ measures available in research handbooks.
When you are trying to instill leadership qualities in the team that you already have, you have to focus on the behaviors that you need to inculcate inside them. Again, I evening saw a rock musical performance. Sunday morning will have a performance by English pop band followed by Russian instrumental while in the evening will witness a Sufi night.
Foodies too had a many options. From bakery to Chinese and buffet menu, they had an array of options to choose from. Another attraction of the show was the kids zone. The venue was tastefully decored . would focus on the four important ones. The first one is effective communication. Train your team members to be better listeners and use their entire body to engage in Kinesthetic Communication, which I have explained in one of my earlier columns. The second is being an adaptive learner. Train your team members to keep themselves abreast with new technologies, knowledge and skills, and to constantly grow professionally. The third is teamwork. With increasing complexities in workplace with mundane jobs getting automated, teamwork is an essential behavior for tomorrow’s leadership. Train them on how to set up joint goals, determine their individual roles in achieving their goals, and help each other cohesively. Finally, the fourth is managing conflicts through negotiation. It is important to inculcate behaviors in your teammates so that they don’t try to resolve conflicts through force or avoidance, but through sustained negotiations. Train them on the different strategies of competition, collaboration and accommodation, as well as when to choose what. All of these behaviors can be instilled and honed through internal or external training interventions.
If you have to choose between internal and external interventions, I would recommend external interventions should you have the budget to do so. Internal trainers, at times, are blindsided to issues that are not the core objective of the training. External trainers tend to have a broader view of the participants and may out other areas where improvements may be needed.
If you have to use internal trainers, suggest them to break down the training objectives into the categories of knowledge, skills and attitude, and use appropriate pedagogical tools to impart each of these components.
