Time to try a few crazy things

- SARAH SHARMA

It has been over two months in lockdown and I think we’ve now got used to such restricted lifestyle that was initially difficult but very much needed.

We have three generations living together in our home and so life is all good. Work and studies from home is in full swing while direct human interaction is minimum. The zoom meetings and online tests are the talk of the dining table these days along with who forgot to mute their microphones and whose internet wasn’t working. In these difficult times everyone is locked inside their homes and trying to pass time by trying new things and following new trends. This lead me to try a few crazy things during the lockdown, my midnight rendezvous started with making a cup of dalgona coffee, but the cute pictures and mouth watering social media stories didn’t come with an accurate recipe, which resulted in me drinking an ungodly amount of coffee at 11:30 at night. My parents found me up late and rest is history. The lockdown has been a truly confusing phase because on one side we are asked to be productive and on other side we are told to relax a bit because we’ll never get this much time again, confusing it is. I need a refund on this year and want to skip the rest of 2020 and reach in the year 2021. As an overly extrovert teenager I personally want to thank John Baird the creator of video calling and I’m pretty sure I’ll be getting a thank you note from Netflix appreciating me for watching every movie available on the platform.
