To persuade people to get vaccinated and dispel myths and notions around the same, Radio Mewat has launched a programme to help natives of Haryana’s Nuh district fight Covid-19 in an informed manner. As a result, a number of people in the region have come forward to get the jab and are even sharing their experiences with others.

Revathi from Madurai, Tamil Nadu, is set to represent India at the Tokyo Olympics. Sharing her journey, Arun Arora, a Twitter user, wrote, “She lost her father and mother in Class IV, and was raised by her grandmother. At 23, Revathi is selected to represent India in the mixed relay event.” More power to you!
Five-year-old Amit, who was, in a viral video, seen asking people on the streets of Bhagsunag near McLeodganj, Himachal Pradesh, to wear masks, is now the local police’s mascot for compliance of Covid-19 protocols. The boy, who sells balloons for a living, was lauded by many on the internet for his awareness on the need to wear masks. Way to go, young one!
Miracles do happen, and looks like Bharat Panchal may have experienced one, too! The 54-year-old Vikhroli, Mumbai resident contracted Covid-19, then had an organ failure and later, was diagnosed with black fungus. However, after being on ventilator support for 70 days, he is now back home! A remarkable story of recovery, indeed.
A boat carrying health officials arrived at Kumirmari island in Sundarbans, West Bengal, and will be stationed there for five days, to vaccinate migrant labourers. So far, 150 people have got the jab through this Covid-19 vaccination-on-boat programme. The initiative was started by the state government to make sure inhabitants of the 54 islands here get jabbed.
Bhanvri Devi from Phalodi area of Rajasthan’s Jodhpur, used to feed animals regularly, but her deteriorating health forced her to take a step back. The 90-year-old was in for a surprise when a langur turned up to check on her, and even embraced her. This is one viral video that is sure to leave you overwhelmed!
