Half of Meta job cuts were in technology roles

Meta Platforms told employees recently that nearly half of the 11,000 jobs it has eliminated were technology roles. Meta executives said the first mass layoff in the firm affected staffers in every team. Overall, 54% of those laid off were in business positions, the rest were in technology roles, said Meta HR chief Lori Goler.
