Shah Rukh Khan to be honoured at Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea Film Festival

ctor Shah Rukh Khan is set to be felicitate­d with an honorary award by Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea Internatio­nal Film Festival. According to Variety, the superstar will receive the honour at the festival’s upcoming second edition, slated to be held from December 1 to 10 in Jeddah. The accolade, which recognises his contributi­on to the film industry, will be presented at the opening ceremony.

Commenting on the same, Khan said, “I am truly honoured to receive this award from the Red Sea Internatio­nal Film Festival.”

As per the outlet, the 57-year-old noted that his fans from Saudi Arabia have always been huge supporters of his films. “I’m looking forward to celebratin­g the region’s talent and being a part of this exciting film community,” the Raees (2017) actor added.

On the work front, Khan will be returning to the screen after five years with director Siddharth Anand’s upcoming action thriller Pathaan, alongside actors Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. He will also star in Rajkumar Hirani’s film with actor Taapsee Pannu and Atlee’s upcoming action thriller opposite actor Nayanthara.
