Singapore firm appointed consultant for Chak Ganjaria
CHIEF SECRETARY HAD SET THE DEADLINE OF JULY 16 FOR THE SELECTION OF A CONSULTANT
LUCKNOW: A Singapore based firm on Friday bagged the contract for preparing the design and layout of the Chak Ganjaria project, which has been accorded top priority by chief mininster Akhilesh Yadav.
“Of the six firms that had applied, the financial bid of Broadway Malyan was found to be the lowest,” said a senior LDA official, which has been chosen as the nodal agency for the project. Chief secretary Javed Usmani, who is personally supervising the progress, had set the deadline of July 16 for the selection of a consultant for the project.
“The consultant would draw outline, the design and layout plan for infrastructure services and civic amenities only for the LDA pocket (around 500 acres) out of the total 850 acres of farm land,” said the official. The seven other departments, which have their own schemes on the remaining 35o acres, would have to choose their own consultant for setting up a modern dairy plant, an international cancer hospital, new UP Administrative Academy office building and several other technical and management institutes.
The consultant has been asked to submit its design and development blueprint by August 15, said the official. Usmani has asked LDA to coordinate with the concerned departments for transfer and possession of land allotted to them. The officials have been told to start work on their respective projects only after obtaining the necessary no objection certificates and clearances from the forest, environment departments and the pollution control board.
