SHUTTLE EXPRESS CHUGS OFF

NEW DELHI: The first day of the Delhi leg of ‘Shuttle Express’, an initiative of Badminton Association of India, was held at Genesis Global School, Noida on Saturday. Held under the aegis of the Delhi Capital Badminton Association, the qualifiers of the Delhi NCR leg with the under16 singles matches. In the boys’ category, there was a draw of 64; there were 32 in the girls’ draw. The quarters, semis and finals will be held on Sunday. The winners from each of the franchise cities will battle it out in the national finals to be held next month. The national finalists will get to train at the Pullela Gopichand Academy.
