GOOGLE GLASS ON SALE FOR A DAY
Google Glass is finally going on sale. But just for a day, April 15, and only for US residents. A full-scale launch is expected later in the year.
The announcement came on Thursday after The Verge, a tech news site, ran an article saying Google was planning a one-day sale, based on leaked documents.
“On April 15th at 9am EDT (eastern daylight time — 6:30 pm in India), you’ll have a limited time chance to join the Explorer Programme,” the company said.

bring in 8,000 more Explorers.
The project clearly remains work-in-progress.
A f or m attached to the announcement lets people enter their name and contact details to be reminded of sale date, and also to receive an offer to buy one “If a spot opens up”.
The announcement makes no mention of the price, but each piece is going to cost $1500, and will come with a free sunglass shade or one of Google’s newly-introduced prescription glasses frames. Though it’s not for sale to those outside the US, anyone with a mailing address here — a friend’s or relative’s — can try their luck. Remember, this is by invitation. Still.
