Already running a hi-tech campaign, BJP leader Narendra Modi has now adopted a 3-D avtaar. An integrated poll rally using 3-D holographic projection technology was held at Patel Nagar Park in Alambagh on Friday evening, drawing a large and curious crowd comprising mostly youth and women.

The event was telecast live in 106 places, breaking Modi’s previous record of addressing voters at 53 spots simultaneously. Setting the tone for the big show, some local BJP leaders addressed the crowd, while some poets recited their verses. Then appeared the 3-D image of Modi, with the leader seeking to form a connect with the youth by telling them he was active on the social media and saw how the first-timers were celebrating the occasion of voting.

Modi drew applause when he gave credit of raised voting percentage to the youth, congratulating first-time voters and praising the election commission for their efforts in this direction.

The BJP leader also paid tributes to the jawans, who had lost their lives in a landmine blast while on poll duty.

In a backward country like India, no one had thought of addressing rallies at more than 100 places at a time, but the youth had made it possible, he added. “It is my dream to turn this country into digital India and connect every village and city but the opposition is still using its tricks of divide-and-rule communal politics to garner votes. But the nation has moved beyond it. I request you vote to for us, looking at our development, and not on communal grounds.”

Besides, Modi pitched for quality education in government colleges and schools, called for more medical colleges and free but quality healthcare to every citizen, even in private hospitals.

He said this election was not only about changing a government but that people want freedom from the existing darkness.

Most of the BJP corporators as well as leaders like Samyukta Bhatia, Susheel Tewari Pammi, and BJP president Rajnath Singh’s son Pankaj Singh were present on the occasion.
