Four-star Umar gives ASCA Under-17 cricket trophy

LUCKNOW: Abhijeet Sinha Cricket Academy (ASCA) rode on a four-wicket haul by Umar Munawar to sneak home with a four-wicket win over KD Singh ‘Babu’ Club (KDSBC) to clinch the title of Under-17 Cricket Trophy, at the KD Singh ‘Babu’ Stadium here on Friday.

Umar’s searing spell saw KD Singh Club getting bowled cheaply for 140 in 33.4 overs after batting first. Aman Razi top scored for them with a 92-ball 54. In reply, ASCA reached home in 31.4 overs with useful contributi­ons coming from Mohsin Siddiqui (25) and Sandeep Pandey (23).
