LUCKNOW: The mystery over the disappearance of Sharad Tandon, 57, the manager (administration) of Parag Dairy, deepened further on Tuesday as cops failed to trace him even after two days of probe. The police said that he was under stress due to his office problems apprehended that he could harm himself due to the problem.

Tandon went missing on early Monday morning after he left his Vineet Khand house in Gomti Nagar for a morning walk. His elder brother, Subash Tandon had lodged a complaint with the Gomti Nagar police station apprehending foul play behind his disappearance.

“He was carrying his cell phone when he left the house on Monday morning and its last location was found somewhere near the Samta Moolak crossing and Gandhi Setu. However, no calls were made or received after Sunday night,” said a police officer.

He said the police had conducted search near the last traced location and even tried to locate some morning walkers.

The officer said the police have also prepared a list of regular morning walkers of the areas.

He said some police personnel would be deployed on the route that leads from his house to Samta Moolak crossing on Wednesday morning. He said, “There are the chances that the morning walkers may provide some clue about Tandon.”

He said the police team on Tuesday even visited his office and interacted with his colleagues and other staff members about any probable reason behind his disappearance.

He said the office visit confirmed that he was extending his leave day by day for the last one week.

He said Tandon’s senior had even objected about his leave and he was issued notice over the issue.

He said his work was also handed over to some other officer. His family members however denied about Tandon undergoing any kind of stress.
