KGMU nodal officers to monitor outstation CPMT
King George’s Medical University (KGMU) on Thursday sent city representatives to several cities where the Combined Pre-Medical Test-2014 would be conducted on Sunday, to make sure nothing went wrong this time.
Representatives for about half-a-dozen cities like Ghaziabad, Saharanpur and Meerut have left while the remaining will leave in a day or two.
The university representatives who will reach outstation centres will examine every detail of the centre where the exam will be conducted and rectifiy any anomaly that they find.
The university that is conducting the entrance exam, the gateway to admission to medical and dental colleges in the state, is taking no chances. The exam, which was earlier scheduled on June 20, was cancelled on the basis of incorrect paper leak information from Gaziabad district administration.
There are 109219 candidates who will take the exam at 213 centres in 15 districts of the state.
Arrangements have been made to send two sets of question papers on different dates to the cities where the exam will be conducted. One set will be specially transported by a special police team while another will be sent through the team conducting the exam.
