Amidst India’s batting collapse on Day One, the biggest focus was on Ravindra Jadeja, in the centre of the row with England pacer James Anderson, when he came in to bat. There was some booing among the packed Lord’s crowd as the left-hander walked in, after MS Dhoni was dismissed Jadeja faced eight deliveries from Stuart Broad, scoring three runs off one of them. Skipper Cook did not bring on Anderson, preventing a potentiall­y explosive situation. But Jadeja lasted just 11 balls, trapped lbw by offie Moeen Ali, beaten playing forward.
