LUCKNOW: An engineer lodged an FIR on Monday against a builder and a broker accusing them of duping him of ` 28 lakh. The complainant has alleged that the duo took money from him but did not book a flat in his name.

As per Hazratganj police, engineer Satish Chandra Pandey, who works as project manager for a construction company and stays in Vijay Khand of Gomti Nagar, has accused owner Rousha Capital Investors owner Saurabh Rousha and the authorities of Spring Greens Apartments of fraud.

Pandey said in his complaint that in December 2013, he had booked a three-bedroom flat in Spring Greens Apartments, where Rousha was the authorising agent. “I came to know about Rousha’s firm through the Internet and contacted him. He showed me Spring Greens apartment and demanded ` 40 lakh for the three bedroom flat,” he said.

He claimed Rousha provided him the allotment letter and other documents after he paid over half of the amount, but he later found out that the flat was not booked in his name. “I was shocked when I learnt in April that Rousha did not book the flat. Now the builder is saying he will get my money from Rousha but the booking of the flat will be done on new increased rates,” he added.

Police said Pandey has alleged that both Rousha and the builder were hand in glove and were duping gullible investors.

However, when contacted, Saurabh Rousha said he was not aware of any such incident and refused to recognise the complainant.
