Noble Laureate and most distinguished women scientist, who discovered radium and polonium, Madam Marie Curie was
born on this date in 1867.
Her discovery of radium formed the cornerstone of cancer treatment and provided hope for millions of cancer patients globally in the early days of the previous century.
