No improvement in Vishnu’s health

KANPUR: Asiatic lion Vishnu, currently an inmate of Etawah Lion Safari, is ill and struggling for life. Sources said the lion was said to be suffering from canine distemper disease and its condition was deteriorating with every passing day. More than two dozen senior doctors and experts have already examined Vishnu, but have failed to diagnose the exact disease it is suffering from. The Lion Safari authorities had also called Dr Nagrajan, a specialist at Karnataka Zoo, who claimed it was suffering from serious infectious. A source at Lion Safari said the chances of Vishnu surviving the disease are grim. The authorities concerned have so far called over two dozens doctors and specialists from various places, including Kanpur and Lucknow, but none of them could make an exact diagnosis.
