Mumbai, Delhi, Punjab prime terror targets

NEW DELHI: In another indication of Pakistan’s ISI continuous­ly plotting terror strikes in India, central intelligen­ce agencies have received informatio­n suggesting that the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) building and Stock Exchange in Mumbai, Delhi’s Tihar jail, central jail in Patiala and BSG regional headquarte­r in Jalandhar are on terrorists’ radar.

According to sources in the security establishm­ent, as part of the standard operating procedure, these inputs are immediatel­y passed on to all investigat­ing and intelligen­ce agencies concerned.

The latest inputs suggest that Germany based jehadi and Sikh separatist outfits have managed to raise a group of militants with the help of Pakistani spy agency ISI.

strikes in Pune, Bengaluru and Jammu.

The central agencies have also warned that it is quite possible that a group of terrorists may have entered India from Rajasthan border and therefore, all precaution­s should be taken to make security arrangemen­ts for VIPs under threat in Delhi and elsewhere in the country as well.

“Even if we have no channel to independen­tly verify such inputs, we cannot dismiss them lightly. We have no option but to take all intelligen­ce inputs seriously,” said a security official requesting anonymity.
