DGP BANERJEE SLIPS, SUFFERS HEAD INJURY
Director general of police (DGP) AL Banerjee suffered a head injury when he slipped in his office here on Friday evening. He was rushed to the civil hospital where doctors discharged him after stitching the wound and administering first aid. A spokesperson for the police department said the incident took place after a meeting of the police officers was held under the chairmanship of the DGP in the newly constructed conference room. When he was going to his office after the meeting, he slipped and received an injury on his skull and hands. Banerjee is set to retire in December and IPS officers are lobbying for the coveted post.
