Congress leader assails Modi

All I ndia Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary (incharge UP) Madhusudan Mistry on Friday assailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not implementing the promises he had made in the Lok Sabha elections. “I have fought election against him (PM). I know him in and out. He does not speak the truth,” Mistry told media persons at UPCC headquarters here. Mistry was here to attend a party meeting. Later, Mistry also targeted a section of the media for portraying the Congress leadership in a bad light. Asked about Congress MLA Vivek Singh’s statement indicating revolt against the party, Mistry said it was an internal matter. UPCC president Nirmal Khatri spoke about the November 14 programme that the Congress proposed to hold in Allahabad on the 125th birth anniversary of Jawaharlal Nehru.
