'I FIRST MET MATA ANANDAMAYEE IN 1975'

VARANASI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi recounted his first meeting with Mata Anandamayee when he visited Mata Anandamayee Hospital here on Saturday. The PM told secretary of the hospital Swami Deveshananda that he first met Mata Anandamayee in 1975 near Vadodara. Modi also informed him that Mata Anandamayee had also offered him food during his visit to the ashram. The PM also interacted with the hospital staff and students. He stayed at the hospital for a few minutes. During Modi’s visit, a large crowd had assembled outside. Members of the erstwhile royal family of Varanasi Kunwar Anand Narain Singh were stuck in the traffic jam. They were also invited to the function at the hospital but arrived late at the venue.
