The UPA’s defeat is justified

This refers to Right is new left, saffron the new black ( Chanakya, November 2). Even though it was in power for 10 years, the Congress-led UPA could not win the confidence of the people. This was simply because it was surviving on the support of people with dubious motives and many of them went to jail. The UPA’s policies were misplaced and had not been framed to alleviate poverty. There was a loot of the exchequer in the name of the uplift of the poor.
