GREATER NOIDA: Motorsport often becomes a straightforward and predictable affair in the top echelons. However, the lower tiers could throw up surprises anytime. Day One of the JK Tyre Racing Championship’s Round 3 saw precisely that. Vishnu Prasad, who had dominated the event during the last stage, had a poor outing as Akhil Rabindra came up trumps at the Buddh International Circuit here on Saturday. Rabindra, who did not even challenge the top grid in Coimbatore, surprisingly grabed the pole, and then steered his way to victory in Race 1 of the FB02.
