‘PDA IS AGAINST OUR COUNTRY’S CULTURE’

-

Public display of emotion is against the culture of Hindustan. This kind of behaviour that a section of the youth is indulging in is immature. But it is not right to blame the youth. The fault lies with their parents and teachers. Their parents didn’t given them the right values at home. As children they must not have been taught what is right and what is wrong at school. Now, their parents must be feeling embarrassed by their behaviour. If there is nothing wrong with public display of affection why not indulge in it in their drawing rooms, in front of their parents and grandparents. Only certain kind of animals display

affection in public and then it is not affection, but something else. People throw stones at such animals to chase them away. If it is okay to do everything in public, will people get drunk and walk about naked in public? The government has made even smoking in public places a punishable offence. Can you forcefully smoke in a train, cause discomfort to your co-passengers and insist that you are free to do so? You can’t. Everyone has freedom, but that doesn’t mean that you can disregard the views and sentiments of your neighbours and other people in society. Everyone is talking about river pollution these days. But the pollutants in the river flows away. This kind of pollution is difficult to remove. It stays and continues to pollute the society. So, parents and teachers have the responsibility to give the right values to their children so that they do not grow up and do something that will cause embarrassment to them. However, there is no need for worry. All this is like fashion trends… the way women wear tight clothes these days. It will change with time. Trends come and go in the natural movement of the kaal chakra.
