AGRA: Activists of Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal on Sunday nabbed a person for allegedly luring residents of Nagla Prajapati to convert to Christianity. They have submitted a written complaint to the Acchnera police station incharge, seeking action against the youth.

However, the police have said that the matter required investigation before registering a case against the youth, therefore an FIR would only be lodged after they have conducted their investigation and substantial evidence was found against the accused.

According to reports, the matter relates to Nagla Prajapati village under Acchnera police station of Agra. Joint secretary of VHP’s district unit Vikrant Faujdar filed a complaint alleging that a youth Kailash, resident of Bayana in Rajasthan, had been visiting the village frequently and promoting Christianity. Faujdar alleged that the accused was luring the resident to convert to Christianity and was even offering money in exchange of conversion.

On Sunday, VHP activists nabbed Kailash, reportedly while he was holding a prayer meeting at a house in Nagla Prajapati and handed him over to the police.

However, police said the matter required investigation before registering a case or taking any action against Kailash.
