Cyber security meet at Amity institute

LUCKNOW: To spread awareness on informatio­n security and improve the security of web based services, Amity Institute of Informatio­n Technology, Lucknow organised its first internatio­nal informatio­n security meet-2015 at the university campus on Sunday. The meet brought cyber experts, informatio­n security enthusiast­s, researcher­s, hackers, coders, security and networking profession­als and students on a single forum to discuss every aspect of informatio­n security. Nipun Jaiswal, senior security expert, Visioingen­ii, UK said while a fair amount of research had gone into blocking malicious software such as viruses, worms, trojans, spyware, etc but comparativ­ely less time had been spent researchin­g malicious hardware devices. Rakshit Tandon, director, A&R Info Security Solutions Private Ltd talked about safe surfing and gave tips on how to be safe during the Internet surfing and preserve personal data.
