Cy­ber se­cu­rity meet at Amity in­sti­tute

LUC­KNOW: To spread aware­ness on in­for­ma­tion se­cu­rity and im­prove the se­cu­rity of web based ser­vices, Amity In­sti­tute of In­for­ma­tion Tech­nol­ogy, Luc­know or­gan­ised its first in­ter­na­tional in­for­ma­tion se­cu­rity meet-2015 at the uni­ver­sity cam­pus on Sun­day. The meet brought cy­ber ex­perts, in­for­ma­tion se­cu­rity en­thu­si­asts, re­searchers, hack­ers, coders, se­cu­rity and net­work­ing pro­fes­sion­als and stu­dents on a sin­gle fo­rum to dis­cuss ev­ery as­pect of in­for­ma­tion se­cu­rity. Nipun Jaiswal, se­nior se­cu­rity ex­pert, Vi­sioin­genii, UK said while a fair amount of re­search had gone into block­ing ma­li­cious soft­ware such as viruses, worms, tro­jans, spy­ware, etc but com­par­a­tively less time had been spent re­search­ing ma­li­cious hard­ware de­vices. Rak­shit Tan­don, direc­tor, A&R Info Se­cu­rity So­lu­tions Pri­vate Ltd talked about safe surf­ing and gave tips on how to be safe dur­ing the In­ter­net surf­ing and pre­serve per­sonal data.
