Case against ex-AMUSU chief

Former AMUSU vice president Tausif Alam is in trouble after live cartridges were recovered from his room during a search by the vice chancellor on Sunday.

On Monday, the AMU administration lodged a case against him in civil lines police station under Arms Act.

After an attack on Tausif recently, AMU VC Zameeruddin Shah had undertaken a search of the campus with district police authorities. During the search operation, four live cartridges were recovered from a room where Tausif stayed at night.

Inspector, civil lines, confirmed the registration of the case.
