Cop spends over 6,000 per day on his diet to build body

A police constable spends `6,000-10,000 per day on his diet to maintain the body.

The 35-year-old constable Amit Chhetri, posted at Haridwar, has won a gold medal in World Police Games held at Virginia in the USA between June 26 and July 5. He has 21-inch biceps, 30.5-inch thighs and 34-inch waist.

Chhetri told Hindustan Times that he was able to meet the expenses because of sponsorshi­p of gymnasiums and the support of his friends.

However, body building is not included the Indian Police Games, so he wants its inclusion and support from his department for body building.

He said, “I have to lead my life according to a schedule. I cannot eat food outside or attend any party. I am dedicated to diet and workouts.”

His wife and other family members also helped him in his mission, Chhetri said.

Chhetri does cardio exercises for two hours in the morning and goes for hardcore exercises for two hours in the evening.

Chhetri who studied at Kendriya Vidyalaya Suvey of India completed BSc from DAV College, Dehradun.

He has a son Atharva, who is studying in LKG in St Joseph’s Academy, Dehradun.

A resident of Salawala, Chhetri joined the police service in 2006 through sports quota.

He had started body building to play football for Shivalik Club, he said, adding he emulates Arnold Schwarzene­gger.

He got the seventh position in the Arnold Classic, won a silver medal in Mr India in 2012 and a gold medal in 2013. He also got the Federation Cup championsh­ip trophy.

1 kg boiled boneless chicken; 20 egg whites, five bowls of pulses, salad, 12 litres of water, 7-8 scoops of whey protein,pro BCAA, glutamine supplement­s and other foods.
