Love birds’ video clips go viral, panchayat banishes families

A panchayat in city area here instructed two families of the same community to leave the area as obscene video clips of a girl and boy of these families went viral on WhatAapp last week.

Sources requesting anonymity said the boy and the girl were in a relationship and made video clips of their own volition but somehow the four video clips, each of around 8 to 10 minutes, were leaked out and widely circulated on WhatsApp. Some CDs were also made.

After coming to know about the incident and the involvement of a boy and girl of the area, elders of Katra Neel in Nai ki Mandi locality here called a panchayat on last Sunday (August 16). Later, the panchayat members issued a diktat that the families of both should leave the area as a punishment for the wrongdoing of their wards..

The panchayat gave them 10 days to leave the locality. The family of the girl left the locality on Sunday night while the boy is absconding.

However, now the girl’s broth- er has taken up cudgels on behalf of his sister and is all set to lodge an FIR against the boy for blackmailing his sister and making her obscene video clips.

However, police officials said that they had no information about any such incident and could not take any action in this regard till they received a complaint.
