Woman realtor found hanging, paramour accused of harassment

-

The body of a 35-yearold woman realtor was found hanging from the ceiling of a room here in Gomti Nagar on Wednesday morning.

Her father suspected foul play behind the incident and accused the deceased’s paramour for harassing her, police said.

Initial probe suggested that the deceased had committed suicide, police said, adding they had registered an FIR of abetment to suicide under IPC section 306 against her paramour.

SO Gomti Nagar, Shyam Babu Shukla said the case may be altered into other IPC sections as per findings of the post-mortem report, which was awaited. He said the accused has already been taken into custody for interrogation.

The SO said the body of the deceased, Muskan, was found hanging at her house under Sulabh Awas Yojana where she was staying with her colleague Brijesh Kumar, alias Annu, along with her five-year-old daughter for the last six months.

The deceased’s father, Zaheer Ahmad, alleged that Annu had recently allowed his three more friends to stay in the same house which troubled Muskan’s daughter, said Shukla. The SO said that the deceased had earlier married Virendra Bansal, a businessman, around seven years ago. “According to her father, everything was going well until she came in touch with Annu while working for the MJ Group, which deals in real estate, about a year ago,” he said. Shukla said the woman’s relation with her husband was estranged due to her proximity with Annu and they were living separately without divorcing each other.
