The special CBI court on Thursday summoned 15 persons, including food and civil supplies minister Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raj Bhaiya and MLC Akshya Pratap Singh, in the murder case of Suresh Yadav in March 2013. The court fixed October 3 as the next date of hearing.

Rejecting the closure report filed by the CBI, special judicial magistrate Manoj Kumar issued summons to the accused persons. It may be mentioned that deputy SP of Kunda Zia-ul-Haq, gram pradhan of Balipur Nanhey Yadav and a local resident Suresh Yadav were killed on March 2, 2013.

Rejecting the closure report filed by the CBI, special judicial magistrate Manoj Kumar issued summons to the accused persons.

It may be mentioned that deputy superintendent of police of Kunda Zia-ul-Haq, gram pradhan of Balipur Nanhey Yadav and a local resident Suresh Yadav were killed on March 2, 2013. Parveen Azad, the widow of DySP Zia-ul- Haq, had alleged the involvement of Raja Bhaiya in her husband’s murder.

The state government recommended a CBI probe into the triple murder. After completing the probe, the CBI submitted a charge sheet in the murders of Zia-ul-Haq and Nanhey Yadav. Later, CBI submitted a closure report in the court on the FIR lodged by Azad. Acting on Azad’s petition, the court rejected the closure report and asked CBI to carry out the investigation afresh.

In another setback for CBI, the special court on Thursday rejected the closure report in the murder of Suresh Yadav as well. Pawan Yadav, a relative of Suresh, informed the court that the CBI did not record his statement. He added that the statements of other eye-witnesses were also not recorded by the investigating agency.

“The murders of Haq, Nanhey and Suresh were well-planned and local cops were involved in it,” he claimed.
