The world’s biggest auto expo saw 210 new cars being launched. This time cos unabashedly showed off their R&D prowess with cars such as Merc’s IAA. Here we give you some of the more realistic ones that ruled the show
1 FERRARI 488 SPIDER
Powered by a 3.9-litre 660 hp turbo-charged V8, the 488 Spider sprints from 0 to 100 kph in 3 seconds
The roof is a retractable hardtop design that can be raised or lowered in just 14 seconds The 488 Spider will face off against Lamborghini’s Huracan Spyder, which costs 50,000 euros less
2 BENTLEY BENTAYGA
Billed as the most exclusive and luxurious SUV in the world Massive 12-cylinder engine and a topop speed of 187 mph (301 kph). Plug-in n electric and diesel versions are planned Optional upgrades include an integrateded event seat for watching polo matches and a Breitling dashboard clock that can cost as much as the car
3 ALFA GIULIA
Powered by a 33.0-0-liter V6 turbo that can do 0-100 kph (0-62 mph) in only 3.9 seconds. Maximum speed is 307 kph The Alfa Romeo Giulia aims to take on the bigger German rivals such as s BMW and Mercedes The car is the first of a series of launches that will expand the Alfa model range to eight by 2018 and arere meant to boost brand sales six-fold
4 OPEL ASTRA
Astra has slimmed down by 200 kilograms (440 pounds), giving it a sportier handling and more fuel efficiency Opel says it has already taken 30,000 orders Lane departure warning, rearview cameras and automatic emergency braking. Supports Android and Apple smartphone interfaces

5 PORSCHE MISSION E
600-hp zero-emission powertrain that gives car a top speed of 250 kph Mission E, which has a claimed 500 kilometer (310 mile) range, is expected in dealerships within five years The German automaker has not yet projected a price for the car
