Technical university students stage demonstrat­ion

AGITATING STUDENTS ACCUSED UNIVERSITY ADMIN OF NOT EVALUATING ANSWERSHEE­TS PROPERLY AND DEMANDED REVALUATIO­N.

LUCKNOW: Students of APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University staged a demonstrat­ion on the university campus on Monday in protest against alleged gross anomalies in ‘carry over’ examinatio­n.

Agitating students accused the university administra­tion of not evaluating answer-sheets properly and demanded revaluatio­n.

On Monday after noon, a large number of students of the university staged a sit-in when their demand to meet the vice chancellor of the university was turned down. Students wanted to apprise the VC of their complaint and alleged under -valuation of their answer sheets.

Students alle ged that in subjects in which they had expected 75% to 80% marks, they were shocked to get only a few marks.

The students demanded revaluatio­n of the answer sheets and making them available online.

Prashant Srivastava, who was leading the agitation, accused the university administra­tion of being insensitiv­e to the students’ cause.

Later in the day, the students met the examinatio­n controller and apprised him of their concern.

They ended the agitation after the examinatio­n controller assured to resolve the issue within a week.

Prominent among those present on the occasion were Ashish Dubey, Nitesh Singh, Vikas Pandey and others.
