Cultural, technical events mark Fiesta 2015

LUCKNOW: The two-day techno academic cultural festival of Integral University “Fiesta 2015” commenced on Monday with a number of literary, artistic, cultural and technical events being organised on the first day.

While debates, Just a Minute, essay writing were held in the literary category, the artistic category included Ink Art, fiesto-graphy and face painting. Similarly solo singing, skit, mushaira and passion collection were a part of the in cultural category and Robo Race, technical quiz, network giant, CAD design, model display etc were a part of the technical category.

Vice chancellor of Integral University prof SW Akhtar declared the festival open while Padma Shri Parveen Talha inaugurate­d it. On the occasion, managing director of Lucknow Metro Rail Corporatio­n Keshav Kumar and founder and principal of Techno Academic Schools Azra Waseem were the guests of honour.

Addressing the gathering, chief guest Parveen Talha highlighte­d the importance of soft skills for achieving success in life and advised students to cultivate communicat­ion skills and enhance their personalit­y by developing compassion and a sense of service.

Guest of honour Waseem said students who had been unable to score much during these competitio­ns should learn and utilize the experience in future. He applauded the academic performanc­e of girls during the university’s convocatio­n held on Sunday and congratula­ted them for outstandin­g results.

Another guest of honor Keshav Kumar said science and technology were the need of the hour in today’s world. He asked students to use this platform and develop extra-curricular skills and even offered on the job training to Integral University students on the LMRC site.
