Vivek sparkles with willow in night cricket
A sparkling halfcentury by Vivek Sharma helped SAS Hyundai win the Sai Autumn League Twenty20 Cricket Tournament for the Pepsi Trophy, defeating Le Grand by five-run in a thrilling final, at the Sai Greens Ground here on Sunday night. Vivek’s 51 came off 32 balls with the help of nine fours and a six as the winners made 175 for nine in 20 overs. In reply, Le Grand could make 170 for six. Shailesh Singh (man of the tournament), Gunjit Kalra (best batsman) and Vivek Sharma (best bowler) were given special awards. SAMUAL CRICKET The 23rd Samual Banerjee Memorial Cricket Tournament under the auspices of the Lucknow Veterans Cricket Association will begin on November 15, at the Pt Raas Bihari Tewari Stadium here.
