THE PORTAL WOULD ALSO PROVIDE A HOST OF OTHER SERVICES THAT WOULD SAVE YOU THE HASSLE OF RUNNING TO THE LDA OFFICE FOR HELP.

LUCKNOW: The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has announced its foray into the virtual world by offering online booking and payment facilities for its properties, besides other services.

“From being local, we have gone global in a way as people can now apply and buy property from us from anywhere in the country,” said LDA vice-chairman Satyendra Kumar Singh, who inaugurated the portal ldaonline. in here on Tuesday.

“You do not buy property off the shelf like other products. Other than price, the project’s location is perhaps the most important factor that drives your decision. Hence, we have provided a facility where an applicant, or even an existing allottee, can view the location of project site/scheme with the click of a mouse,” said Singh.

The development agency has linked all its projects and schemes with Google maps to provide a bird’s eye-view of all its existing and future ventures. So if you are planning to purchase a property, browse the portal even if you do not wish to buy from the LDA. Reason? The development agency’s portal also contains a 25-page dossier on unauthorised constructions and private housing projects in the state capital.

“Putting together information related to around one lakh residential and commercial properties online had indeed been a Herculean task. The credit goes to our team of officials who worked hard for the past several months to get the data digitised,” said Singh, adding that existing allottees, too, can avail the service to check the status of their deposits/dues.

The portal would also provide a host of other services that would save you the hassle of running to the LDA office for help. These include online submission of building maps (only under LDA housing schemes), speedy approvals and a regular update related to new schemes, lottery draws, tenders, status of your application and important notices, orders through a dedicated short messaging service (SMS). “While right now allottees can make payments through NEFT and RTGS, very soon we would be putting up our own gateway to also allow the facility of making deposits through debit/credit cards,” said an official at the helm of the portal operations. Providing cellphone number has been made mandatory for all applicants at the time of registration. “We will be sending alerts related to dues and other payments at least 15 days in advance,” said the official.

The portal also has a service directory complete with the names, job profile, location and contact numbers of its staffers.
