Shashank’s spell puts ASCA in final
LUCKNOW: A five-wicket haul by Shashank Verma guided Abhijeet Sinha Cricket Academy (ASCA) crushed Lucknow Cricket Academy’s Hostel by 10 wickets to make it to the final of the Under-14 Bachpan Trophy Cricket Tournament, at the LDA Stadium here on Tuesday. Shashan took five for 15 as LCA Hostel collapsed for paltry 40 in 13.2 overs. Anil Kumar had two for 11. In reply, ASCA romped home in just 4.5 overs without losing a wicket.
COLLEGIATE CRICKET Islamia PG College stormed into the quarterfinals of the 17th Chandra Bhanu Gupt Memorial Inter-Collegiate Cricket Tournament for Amit Singh Chauhan Trophy, beating Maharishi University by three wickets here on Tuesday. In other match of the day, Shia PG College got a walk-over from Lucknow Christian College, which failed to turn up.
JCC TRIUMPH Jyoti Cricket Club defeated LCA Academy by four wickets to enter final of the Dusherra Trophy Cricket Tournament, at the Chowk Stadium here on Tuesday. LCA Academy made 164 in 39.5 overs while batting first after winning the toss. In reply, JCC despite losing wickets on regular intervals, managed to reach home in 36 overs.
