Property dealer hangs self over ‘financial crisis’

After facing major loss in real estate business, a property dealer hanged himself from the ceiling fan of a room at his Krishna Nagar residence on the intervenin­g night of Friday and Saturday. His body was found on Saturday morning.

The deceased Rajesh Khare, 35, hailed from Bhopal but was living here with his wife Pooja and son Akshat in a rented house near Kannausi locality in Krishnanag­ar for the past few years. He was involved in property dealing and had earned a good income but recently he faced loss due to slump in real estate this year. The victim’s wife informed the cops that the deceased was troubled with the loss and was under pressure to return the money of some investors.

Vijay Yadav, SO, Krishna Nagar said financial crisis was the apparent reason behind the man’s grave step. However, further probe in the matter is going on.
