ALIGARH LIMPING BACK TO NORMALCY

After the communal clash on Thursday in which one person died, the lock city is slowly limping back to normalcy. Nine persons have been arrested and a massive drive is on to arrest the others. The Uttar Pradesh government has also increased compensati­on to the family of the riot victim from `5 lakh to `10 lakh. The cops have registered a case against 45 named accused and 1,000 unknown persons on charges of rioting, firing, arson and ransacking. To recall, residents of Khatikan and Sarai Mian localities under Delhi Gate police station had clashed on Thursday and the situation soon turned into rioting, arson and firing. A man died of bullet injury during treatment in the medical college.
