Mormons to resign from faith in same-sex policy protest

Hundreds of Mormons are to resign from the faith after gathering in Salt Lake City to protest a new church policy that calls married samesex couples apostates and bars their children from baptism. The Church of Jesus Christ’s new directive is on how it should deal with Mormon families headed by wedded gay and lesbian couples.
