RSS has always been doubted for homosexuality, says Azam Khan

Senior UP minister and Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Azam Khan, who is known for his controversial statements, has stirred a hornet’s nest with his remark that “RSS people are homosexual and do not marry because of it.”

Answering a question, the minister said, “The RSS has always been doubted for it (homosexuality) and that is why they don’t marry.”

Khan also attacked suspended IPS officer Amitabh Thakur. “We should not talk about people like him...he is a blot on the administrative system,” the minister said.

The senior UP minister also criticised Congress president Sonia Gandhi and former prime minister Manmohan Singh’s meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “Every political party can have independent views on a matter, but it’s not going to help the nation unless the prime minister has such views himself. Currently, the policies of the Prime Minister don’t seem to be in favour of the nation and people are fed up with the ineffectiveness of the government,” he said.

Attacking Azam Khan for terming him a “blot” on administrative officers, Thakur said that he (Khan) only preferred “sycophant and servile” officers.

“Khan’s bad-mouthing against me once again establishes that he does not like rule-oriented nationalist officers, but only prefers sycophant and servile government servants who don’t even hesitate in demolishing Valmiki houses inhabited for years,” Thakur said.

“I have gone to Rampur with wife Nutan Thakur, and our open resistance of this draconian act (of getting houses demolished) did not go down well with him who has got used to hearing only yes to every wrong wish”, he said.
