LUCKNOW: With all objections regarding proposed circle rates of commercial property disposed of, the district administration is all set to enforce the fresh rates from December 1.

District administration officials said on Monday that altogether five objections were raised in the context of the proposed circle rates.

But all the objections were addressed by a district level committee.

“A few people objected to the circle rates of certain areas in Mohanlal Ganj and Bakshi Ka Talab. As a result, we have reduced some circle rates,” said district magistrate Raj Shekhar.

Shekhar said no other changes were made to the proposed commercial property circle rates. Hence they would come into force from December 1.

The district administration said this time the circle rates were calculated through a ‘revised’ evaluation format and expected to be far less than the existing circle rates.

Officials said the new rates would be a big relief to those dealing in commercial properties. As per the fresh circle rates, tehsil Sadar would be the most benefited tehsil as it has witnessed around 20 to 30% reduction in the rates of shops.

Areas including Mahanagar, Hazratganj, Shivaji Marg, Vibhuti Khand, Aliganj, Khunkhunji Road, Alambagh, Kanpur Road, Raebareli Road are a few of the most affected areas, witnessing a dip in the circle rates, according to officials.

Sadar tehsil also witnessed reduction of 30 to 40% in office space rates and 40 to 50% in the rates of godowns.

Other than Sadar, the other four tehsils including Bakshi Ka Talab, Sarojni Nagar, Malihabad and Mohanlalganj witnessed reduction of 3 to 5% in the rates of commercial properties.

A few people objected to the circle rates of certain areas in Mohanlal Ganj and Bakshi Ka Talab. As a result, we have reduced some circle rates.
