Hope is a magical spell that makes the impossible possible

- PP Wangchuk

The magic of playing with hope does wonders beyond our expectations. It also makes it possible for us to think that for life to be meaningful, challenges need to be faced and seen so that the so-called impossibilities are only in our minds.

We are what we think we are. The moment we create a mindset that nothing is impossible, we automatically gear up to make difficulties vanish. In fact, the system in and around us is alerted to wake up and be ready to face the challenges. Your mind gets tuned to the idea that it takes only a few seconds before you see all the clouds disappearing, paving the way for a smooth pursuit of your task. That means if you feel and hope you can, you can.

American poet Emily Dickinson says: ‘Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul and sings the tune without the words. And never stops at all.’ And that makes us go on and on with grit and determination. We start loving ourselves and the rest of the world too. And the end point is that we have become better human beings, all there to reach out and be useful in the journey of life. Very soon, the world around us brightens; and we cherish the beauty of life and its journey.

Novelist Langston Hughes had this to say: ‘Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a brokenwinged bird that cannot fly.’ We must be aware that life is what we make of it. It is all rosy if we approach it with hope and positive action; and it becomes thorny if we fail to dream and act.
