WHAT CAN MAKE INDIA THE WORLD’S BRIGHT SPOT?
M VENKAIAH NAIDU,
Union minister for urban development
Effective, collaborative leadership at all levels can make India a bright spot. We need to look at issues plaguing the country beyond the prism of politics. A common man or woman has to be a leader in his or her own way. This entails a sense of responsibility towards nation-building while seeking individual advancement.

I believe the educational system in India needs a great reform. India has been among the fastest-growing economies of the world and it needs to invest more in the quality of education system if it has to accelerate its long-term growth and prosper as a nation. The entire thought process needs to change.
MITTU CHANDILYA,

Some of the key things that need to be looked at are faster clearances and ways to bring down red-tapism. We should move away from traditional ways of employment and look at developing dynamic talent. We need to focus on India as a larger economy instead of concentrating on a few key centres and businesses.
SUMIT MAZUMDER,
President, CII
The focus has to be on carrying out more reforms and the passage of the Goods and Services Tax bill would be key. Gradually, private investments will also start coming in. Let’s also remember that internationally too everybody is looking up to India to drive growth and we must live up to that.
