Pak spy tells police about another mole in Army unit
NEW DELHI: The Delhi Police have identified another head constable-rank officer posted at the Army base in Rajouri who was allegedly leaking sensitive and secret documents to an ISI agent.
The police team has reportedly left for Rajouri in Jammu and Kashmir and the Army has been alerted. The arrest will be made by early Wednesday morning and the accused will then be brought to Delhi for interrogation, police sources said.
The name of the officer was revealed to the police by Kafaitullah Khan, alias Master Raja, a library assistant at a senior secondary school in J&K, who allegedly worked for the Pakistani intelligence agency. “During interrogation, Kafaitullah said that like Abdul Rasheed, a head constable posted in the intelligence wing of Border Security Force, Rajouri, he has cultivated several other contacts in the defence forces. He told us about a few men that he had planted in the Army bases in J&K who used to pass him sensitive information. We identified one person from an Army base in Rajouri who has been passing him the information for the past one year and have informed the Army unit about the same.
The arrest will likely be made by Wednesday,” a police source said.
Sources said a raid at four more locations in J&K have been planned, including at an Air Force base where Kafaitullah allegedly cultivated his sources. “Among the documents seized are sensitive papers on the purchase and possession of aircraft including some log sheets which we are analysing. We have identified the unit from where they were leaked. However it is still unclear who leaked them.
