AFTER JAYAPUR, NAGEPUR HAS BECOME THE SECOND VILLAGE IN ROHANIA DEVELOPMENT BLOCK TO BE SELECTED UNDER THE SANSAD ADARSH GRAM YOJANA

VARANASI: A day after Nagepur village was adopted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi under the Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojna, a five-member team from Delhi inspected the village to know firsthand the ground reality and the facilities needed for development there on Monday.

Later, the team comprising officials of a private company will prepare a detailed report about the geographical condition of the village and amenities it lacks.

“Within a week, the team will submit its report to a company which has been assigned the task to prepare the detailed project report (DPR). Further course of action will be decided on the basis of this report,” said Sonu Singh, who was part of the inspection team. After Jayapur, Nagepur has become the second village in Rohania development block to be selected under the Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana. In 2014, the PM had adopted Jayapur village. The village has a population of around 5,000 people.

“After coming to know that the PM has also adopted this vil- lage, we are quite happy because the place will now get the facilities it lacks. Today, a team of officials from Delhi interacted with the locals to know about the facilities they want in their village on a priority basis,” said Nagepur village head Parasnath Rajbhar.

“We will carry out a survey keeping in view 26 points including drainage, handpump, Anganbari centre setc. Within a week, the survey will be completed and report will be submitted to the company that has to prepare the DPR,” said Sonu Singh. The company would submit the report to the centre.
