Prince William, wife Kate to visit Taj on April 16
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate Middleton, will visit the Taj Mahal on April 16. The administration,which has received the programme schedule, has confirmed the visit. This visit of the British royals comes 24 years after Lady Diana visited the monument of love in 1992.

AGRA: The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate Middleton, will visit the Taj Mahal on April 16. The administration, which has received the programme schedule, has confirmed the visit.
This visit of the British royals comes 24 years after Lady Diana visited the monument of love in 1992.
“The members of British royal family would arrive here to visit the Taj Mahal on April 16, for which a programme schedule has been received,” informed an official source in the administration.
Elaborate arrangements are being made the visit. The royal couple will arrive in the city on April 16 and visit the Taj the same afternoon.
Prior to this, Lady Diana, who was in India along with Prince Charles, had visited the Taj in 1992. However, Prince Charles was not able to accompany her to Taj.
Lady Diana’s photograph sitting alone on the marble bench at Central tank became so famous that till date the marble bench is known as ‘Diana seat’ and tourists visiting the Taj Mahal make it a point to get themselves photographed on this bench.
Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip had visited the Taj Mahal in 1961.
