SP will bag 300 seats in upcoming UP polls: Shivpal
UP Public Work Development minister Shivpal Yadav on Wednesday claimed that the Samajwadi Party (SP) would get 300 seats in upcoming assembly election 2017 for various development works carried out across the state.
Yadav attended marriage ceremony of niece of his cabinet colleague Parasnath Yadav in Jaunpur where during an interaction with the media persons, Yadav said, “The state government has constructed roads, improved health facilities for the people and has done a lot in the field of education.”
The minister blamed previous governments for the pathetic condition of Bundelkhand. “We are continuously working for welfare of the farmers of Bundelkhand who were paying the price of bad policies of the previous governments. We gave relief to the farmers by ensuring water through canals,” the minister said.
He further claimed that the Akhilesh Yadav led state government is with the farmers and working for their cause and added that any dereliction on part of the officials in implementing schemes of farmer relief would not be tolerated.
Answering a question related to firing after controversy over getting a contract for construction of the medical college in the district, the minister said he had no idea about such an incident. He, however, said that he would speak to officials and assured of action against the guilty.
The minister’s helicopter landed at helipad of the reserve police lines from where he reached the marriage venue by road.
