Find the child within you again ... it is never too late

- Amisha Batra

“When dreams filled your eyes; the world held wonder and delight; there was so much to see, to learn and explore. When everything seemed in one’s might; the world seemed happily tinted bright; Take me back to that scintillating world again; Where everything seemed just right.”

Do you remember when we were children, happiness came from small things like an ice-cream or a chocolate? We knew no limits, no boundaries, nothing was impossible, and most of all we believed in our dreams with our heart and soul. We did not know what giving up was or the fear that we may never be able to do it; we believed that maybe not today, but one day, we would master it.

Then, we grew up, believed in ourselves less or, let’s just say, had no faith in ourselves and thereby put limits on ourselves, most of which were creations of our own cowardly mind. Things like fear, rejection, hard work, society pressure haunted us before following our dreams. We forgot to wear our rose-tinted glasses.

What stops us from being like a child again? Our world needs a bit of imagination, dreaming and most of all those special rose-tinted glasses. It is not bad to be practical but it is wrong to stop dreaming for oneself. So give wings to all those dreams and passions that you’ve harboured for so long. Remember the only limits we have are the ones that we put on ourselves. Find the child within you again.

“I searched everywhere for that one thing called happiness; To laugh loudly without any worries; For all those things called magic and miracles; As I searched more and more, I realised; I looked everywhere but within me; It finally dawned upon me; it all lies within me…”
